Updated city map features Old Main photo by Steve Moore

The new Fayetteville City Map was unveiled at Monday’s Advertising and Promotion Commission meeting and will feature another photo taken by the late Steve Moore.

The photo of Old Main on the University of Arkansas campus is the second from Moore’s Panoramic Project that the A&P Commission has used this year on its updated print materials.

This is the first update to the map in three years and according to Jade Gustin of the Sells Agency, the A&P Commission’s agency of record, over 300 new streets have been added.

Also included are a University of Arkansas campus map, information about local attractions, important phone numbers, and a map of the new paid parking areas in the Dickson Street entertainment district.

The new maps can be found at the Visitors Center on the square, the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, the Town Center, and inside City Hall.

Moore’s Panoramic Project is a series of photos taken that document the many changes Fayetteville’s scenery has gone through over the years. The project was officially unveiled during the First Thursday event at Fayetteville Underground in September 2009.

Moore’s popular Wilson Park castle photo is featured on the cover of the 2010 Fayetteville Visitors Guide which was released in March.

Moore, a respected local craftsman and photographer, died in December 2009 at the age of 69.
