Giveaway: Chris Isaak at the Walton Arts Center

This contest is now closed. Congrats to the winner, Frances Mayo.

When it comes to crooners, nobody croons more crooningly these days than Chris Isaak.

He definitely out croons Harry Connick, Jr. and Michael Buble as far as I’m concerned. Elvis, Bing Crosby, Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra were really good at crooning back in the day, but none of them croon much anymore, on account of the fact that they are all dead.

I found out this morning that Kevin Spacey croons on occasion, but he’s much better at being an actor. David Bowie is also sometimes considered a crooner, but I think of Bowie as more of a rocker.

Crooning is not to be confused with Krumping, which is something else entirely, but I heard that Chris Isaak is good at that, too.

All that considered, I think it’s fair to say that the best crooner crooning today is coming to the Walton Arts Center on Oct. 12, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the show. Try to win them!
