Not to nit pick, but the name is “McIlroy” not McElroy. It is a very old family name here in Fayetteville and the family once owned the majority of the property on which the oldest part of the U of A is located. Also, some new residents may not know that Arvest Bank on the square was originally McIlroy Bank, which at one point was Arkansas’ oldest family owned bank.
