Grand opening set for Fayetteville’s newest dog park

Remember that dog park everyone was talking about last summer? It’s here.

The city yesterday announced the grand opening celebration of Iams Park, Fayetteville’s newest dog park, at 5:30 p.m. today, (Oct. 14).

The dog park is located at 1595 N. Dartmouth Avenue and is part of Bryce Davis Park. Not sure where that is? If you’re on Wedington Drive, turn north on Salem Drive and then take the third left onto Cornell Street. From there, you can’t miss it. Take the trail at the back of the park to find the dog park. (see map below)

Park regulations

The 3-acre park is divided into two sections – one for large dogs and one for small dogs – and was made possible by a $30,000 donation from Procter & Gamble. The pavilion that sits between the two areas was donated by Ozark Natural Foods.

Everyone is welcome to attend and of course, feel free to bring your pups.

The first 500 in attendance will receive an Iams bandana and collar for their dog. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served.
