Town Hall Meeting set for Monday, Oct. 25

Mayor Lioneld Jordan is set to hold his ninth Town Hall Meeting since taking office last year.

If you’re a calendar marker, scribble the words “town hall” on the Monday, Oct. 25 square. Below that, write “7 p.m.” and “Fayetteville Boys & Girls Club – 560 N. Rupple Rd.”

As always, anyone is welcome to come out and ask questions directly to Mayor Jordan and city department heads. It’s a pretty relaxing atmosphere, and it’s a good way to learn about upcoming city projects, policies, events, and more.

At each meeting, the mayor is joined by several city staff department directors who give short presentations. Expect information about the budget, infrastructure projects such as Mt. Comfort, Wedington, and the upcoming Master Street Plan revisions, and Parks and Recreation projects such as Red Oak Park and the recently opened Iams Dog Park at Bryce Davis Park.

Most of the meeting is dedicated to answering citizen questions, so bring some good ones.
