New Sponsor: Something Urban

I know we’ve mentioned it before, but in case you didn’t know, we love our sponsors. There are several reasons for this.

The main reason is that these fine businesses and organizations are the folks that allow us to continue to keep you guys informed about what’s happening in this town that we all love so much. Another main reason we love them is because they’re awesome.

Our newest sponsor is Something Urban, located at 643 W. Dickson Street in Fayetteville.

If you’re even moderately interested in fashion, chances are you’re well aware of Something Urban. Amy White Beard opened the store in 1999 with a goal to bring big-city style to Fayetteville at extremely affordable prices, and she’s been doing just that down on Dickson Street ever since.

Something Urban

The store is absolutely packed with incredible looks that Amy hand selects from great designers all over the country. They carry everything from casual every-day wear like this awesome sweater (hint: it has skulls on it), to accessories like this fantacular (I just made that up) hat, jewelry, denim, and dresses like these for a night on the town.

Another thing we love about Something Urban is their focus on local animal charities. This weekend, for example, they’re hosting a pet food drive to benefit the Humane Society of the Ozarks. One can of pet food gets you 10% off your purchase, two cans gets you 20% off, and three cans will score you 30% off your purchase on Friday or Saturday (Nov. 26-27).

Yeah, they’re awesome.

Please welcome Something Urban to our little community by liking them on Facebook, and by stopping by the store soon. While you’re there, please give Amy a high five or a hug, and please thank her for supporting what we’re doing here at the Flyer.
