Giveaway: The Second City’s Dysfunctional Holiday Revue

Congrats to the winners, Jacob and Alissa Walker.

It’s that time of year, folks.

In addition to being the time to hear “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer,” “Jingle Bells,” and that Mariah Carey Christmas song everywhere you go for the next few weeks, it’s also time to head out to the theatre, and check out some sweet holiday shows.

Some will be good, some might be weird, but it’s not likely that you’ll see anything between now and Dec. 25 like what the folks from Second City will bring to town when they perform their Dysfunctional Holiday Review on Dec. 11 at the Walton Arts Center.

If you’re not familiar, Second City is the famed comedy school and funny-person factory that has produced the likes of John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Horatio Sanz, and countless others.

Their Dysfunctional Holiday Review features a mash-up of sketches, songs, improv, and holiday satire, and there’s a decent chance that the next comedy-super-genius could be on stage at the show.

Even better news, guess who has two pairs of tickets to gvive away? You probably guessed it. (It’s us.)

How to enter

I know, I know, we did the same thing last time Second City was in town, but there are so many great alumni, and it’s just so fun to talk about who your favorites are.

So, we’re doing it again. To enter, just leave a comment with your favorite alumni member from the Second City. If you need help remembering everyone who went to the school, you can browse this list.
