FPL Screens Holiday Favorite for Teens


The Fayetteville Public Library will screen the holiday favorite National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (PG-13) on Thursday, December 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the library’s Walker Community Room.

The screening is part of the library’s Free Flix Before 6 series for Teens, which is hosted the third Thursday of the month.

Free popcorn is provided.

Teens are encouraged to bring a beverage.

The event is free.

Performer Brings Christmas Show to FPL

The Fayetteville Public Library will host Brian Kinder’s Christmas Show on Saturday, December 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the library’s Walker Community Room.

Kinder, a popular children’s performer who has appeared during FPL’s Summer Reading Club, will perform a holiday musical show for children and families.

The event is free and open to the public.

Library Hosts Silent FPL for Teens

The Fayetteville Public Library will host Silent Library FPL on Monday, December 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the library’s Wal-Mart Storytime Room.

Based on the popular MTV game show, Silent Library features a game of teen contestants, who randomly select cards.

The teen who draws the unlucky card faces a challenge and receives a prize upon the successful and silent completion of the challenge.

The other contestants also receive a prize if they are able to remain silent during the challenge.

The event is free and open to ages 12 to 18.
