Sponsor Deals & More: March 15-20

Whether you are an Irish person, or not an Irish person, one thing is pretty obvious; St. Patty’s Day is easily one of the top 3 holidays ever created.

You get to pinch people who aren’t wearing green, which is kind of weird, but still pretty fun.

You get to have pub crawls and drink green beers, and it’s pretty much the only appropriate time of the year to break out your “Kiss Me I’m Irish” t-shirt.

What’s not to like? As it happens, there are a ton of St. Patty’s Day related items on the list this week, as well as March Madness related specials, and one mustache related item. Enjoy.

Arts & Events

Ella’s Restaurant has free live music this weekend with Matt Smith and Sarah Hughes.

George’s has Ott & Phutureprimitive, a St. Patty’s Day party with Groovement, a Shulertown CD release, Flipoff Pirates, and more this week.

Greenhouse Grille has live music with Jeff Alvine, a St. Patty’s Day party with Paddy O’Grille & Bill O’Sayle, Sarah Swenson, and more this week.

JJ’s Grill has 1/2 price burgers on Tuesdays in March from 6-8 p.m., and a big St. Patty’s Day party including 1/2 price appetizers if you’re wearing green, a Lucky Charms eating contest, music from Maud Crawford and more.

Kingfish will have free burgers and hot dogs on Wednesday, March 16 starting at 5 p.m. at their 1st birthday party. Happy birthday, Kingfish.

Mickey Finn’s is the place to be for St. Patty’s Day. Dave Malm (aka Paddy O’Grill) will perform on Wednesday the 16th, and they’ll open early at 11 a.m. on the 17th.

Powerhouse Seafood is hosting a St. Patty’s Day party with Steve Dimmit on the patio.

Cletus Got Shot is back in town, and they’ll lead the Irish drinking song sing-a-long at Smoke & Barrel on St. Patty’s Day.

Songs in the ‘Ville returns to UARK Ballroom on Thursday this week. They’ve also got comedian Costaki Economopoulos on Saturday.

Ultra Studios’ Brooke Benham is exhibiting her locally made fashions through March 31 at the Anne Kittrell Gallery in the UA Student Union.

Walton Arts Center has The Harvard Glee Club, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas’ opening concert, The Pink Floyd Experience, and legendary folk singer Arlo Guthrie this week.

Drink Specials

Get any beer, well drink, margarita, or summer brew for $2 at Buster Belly’s every day from 4-7 p.m.

Grub’s has $1.25 domestic drafts, and $2 house wines every Monday-Saturday from 4-10 p.m.

Food & Dining

Emelia’s Kitchen has new specials this week, including Stuffed Trout, very tender Filets, and a Bourbon Infused Pineapple & Coconut Creme Brulee. Also, try a Turkey Bacon Press Sandwich for lunch.

Lucky Luke’s Wing Wednesday coincides nicely with first round NCAA hoops this week. As always, they’ll have 40¢ wings, and $1 drafts.

Penguin Ed’s is giving away a St. Patrick’s Day prize pack for kids 12 and under this week. Stop by any location to enter.
