First Thursday Fayetteville announces call to artists

    on April 15, 2011 at 1:24 pm

First Thursday Fayetteville is seeking artists to participate in this year’s street side art walk program.

All artists will be selected through an open application process followed by a juried review.

Interested artists are asked to apply online by the 20th of each month at www.firstthursdayfayetteville.com/apply or email info@experiencefayetteville to request an application. If selected, a $20 reservation fee is required and must be paid by the 25th of each month.

From the release:

All genres of art will be considered with an emphasis on high quality presentations. All works must be original and completely created by the artist. Artists must be present and show their work throughout the entire event (5 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Artwork cannot include any graphic content such as nudity or violence.

The monthly event is held on the downtown Fayetteville square and celebrates original works of art. The outdoor art walk returns for its second season where this year’s event has expanded onto Mountain Street to include live music, a larger charity beer garden, and a Kids’ Zone.

First Thursday Fayetteville is free and open to the public.

For additional information, visit firstthursdayfayetteville.com or call the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau at 479-521-5776.
