Lucinda Williams May 1 concert moved to Fayetteville Town Center

The May 1 Lucinda Williams and Billy Joe Shaver concert has been moved from The AMP to the Fayetteville Town Center.

Walton Arts Center officials on Wednesday announced that the Lucinda Williams and Billy Joe Shaver concert set for May 1 at The AMP has been moved to the Fayetteville Town Center “due to the extreme cold expected” in the area.

According to The Weather Channel, evening temperatures are expected to be in the low 40s on Sunday with a 70 percent chance of rain.

A press release stated that all tickets reserved in advance will be honored, and will-call tickets will be available at the door beginning at noon. Officials also stated that anyone who purchased a seated ticket for the AMP concert will be guaranteed a seated ticket (front row, orchestra or reserved) at the Fayetteville Town Center.

Doors for the event will still open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

Parking is free on the downtown square, but space is limited. Parking is also available in the municipal parking garage located just south of the Town Center for $3 per car, or in metered spots surrounding the square.

A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for $25 at waltonartscenter.org or by calling 479-443-5600.
