Paraders participating in the 2010 NWA Pride Parade.

The NWA Center for Equality is a little over halfway through the second annual All Out June celebration, and the month-long series of LGBT pride events will culminate with a pride parade, block party and other events during NWA Pride Weekend from June 23-26.

NWA Pride Weekend kicks off on Thursday, June 23 at Mickey Finn’s with an “Out and About” happy hour. After that, drag bingo, a gender bender blowout, a white party, a pride picnic and other events are scheduled at various venues around town.

The annual pride parade will take place on Saturday, June 25 beginning at 10 a.m. on Block Avenue and Dickson Street. The grand marshal of the parade this year is Michael Walsh, known for his work for domestic partnership and domestic worker benefits in Eureka Springs.

Following the parade on Saturday, an official All Out June party will take place in the Walton Arts Center’s Rosen Memorial Rose Garden. Performances are scheduled by the Miss Gay Arkansas Trio, Messy Sparkles, and Internationally Diverse Krew (Tulsa, OK).

A full schedule of NWA Pride Weekend events are available at alloutjune.com.
