Repaving work has already begun in the southbound lane of College Avenue just north of North Street.
A 1.6-mile repaving job will periodically close northbound and southbound lanes on College Avenue this week.
The work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. today through Friday, July 29 and from 7 p.m. until midnight on Saturday.

According to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department website, overlay areas on Highway 71-B stretch from just north of North Street to as far south as 15th Street.
In June, the Arkansas Highway Commission awarded a $616,082 contract to APAC-Central, Inc. of Fayetteville to complete the overlay project.
Motorists are urged to use care and think ahead when traveling through the work zone. A city news release inidicated that increased traffic enforcement is scheduled in the area.
