Fayetteville police seek suspect after attempted robbery at Medicap Pharmacy

Update 8/30/11: A suspect was arrested in connection with this incident.

The Fayetteville Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect after an attempted robbery of a pharmacy last week.

According to a news release, Fayetteville police were called to Medicap Pharmacy at 2818 W. Martin Luther King Boulevard on Wednesday Aug. 24 in reference to an attempted robbery.

From the release:

Security camera footage showed the suspect had approached the business from the west side of the building wearing a mask. The suspect crouched by the building and removed the mask when he saw a delivery driver entering the business. The suspect entered the business and walked around the front of the store but never made any demands or spoke to the pharmacist and left a short time later. As the suspect was leaving the store, a witness noticed that the suspect had a mask in his hand.
