Local notes

UA students held a candlelight vigil on the Old Main lawn Sunday night in remembrance of the victims of the September 11. (Arkansas Traveler)

Also on campus, students placed 2,752 flags on the lawns of Central Quad, one for each of the people who died in the attacks ten years ago. (Fayetteville Flyer)

Photojournalist Spencer Tirey has a set of photos from last week’s flag planting at Woodland Junior High School. (PhotoBlog)

With wall stones removed and flag markers in place, the road across Old Main lawn will be here before you know it. (Flickr photos)
