The 2011 Fayetteville High School Homecoming Parade has been moved to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 this year to avoid a conflict with Bikes, Blues & BBQ.

The annual parade is typically held on the Friday of the Homecoming game, but due to the fact that the game lines up with the 2011 bike rally, Fayetteville High School officials decided a change was in order. The Purple dogs will take on the Springdale Bulldogs Friday night, Sept. 30 at Harmon Field.

Bikes, Blues & BBQ will officially be underway during the parade on Wednesday, but traffic associated with the bike rally typically doesn’t pick up until later in the week.

The parade will follow the traditional route, leaving Harmon Field just before 6 p.m. and making its way up to the Fayetteville square. A pep rally will follow the parade in front of the Fayetteville Town Center on the south side of the square.
