Local Notes

It looks like the Sigma Pi fraternity has taken responsibility for the theft of Monday’s issue of the Arkansas Traveler student newspaper. (Traveler)

We posted three parking deck-related stories yesterday afternoon including a piece on the financing of the plan, an estimated timeline for construction and a story about a fourth possible location as suggested by former Fayetteville Mayor Dan Coody.

The Razorback women’s basketball team thumped Newman University last night in a 63-35 exhibition win at Bud Walton Arena. Look for another good thumping tomorrow night when the men’s team takes on Texas A&M-Commerce.

Happy Birthday!

Also tonight, there’s another round of the monthly First Thursday Fayetteville art walk on the square. Due to the chilly weather, the outdoor activities have been moved inside the Town Center building on the south side of the square.
