In case you missed it…

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art officially opened its doors on Friday. For those who think the art is wasted on hicks who don’t deserve it, Warwick Sabin, publisher of the Oxford American, writes in the Washington Post about why small-town Arkansas is the perfect place for a major art museum.

Fayetteville residents may now recycle Nos. 3 through 7 plastics at the city’s 24/7 drop-off facility located at 1420 S. Happy Hollow Road.

Arkansas Razorbacks wide receivers took the No. 1 and No. 2 spots of ESPN’s Top 10 Plays after a record-breaking night and a 49-7 win over Tennessee Saturday.

Monday To-do

Facebook event page

The Razorback Marching Band will host the annual Razorback Band Spectacular at 7 p.m. tonight inside Barnhill Arena on the UA campus.

We’re not sure if running back Knile Davis will make a return appearance on the drums this year (see the 2010 video), but Arkansas head men’s basketball coach Mike Anderson is definitely set to serve as a guest conductor.

The event is free and open to the public.
