Local architect Marlon Blackwell has posted a video documenting the recent demolition of a section of Vol Walker Hall on the University of Arkansas campus.
The five-minute time-lapse animation was created using photos by William Burks of Ozarks Photography, and chronicles the four-day project to the song “Fanshawe” by El Ten Eleven.
Vol Walker Hall is currently undergoing a $36 million renovation and expansion project that will combine each of the three Fay Jones School of Architecture programs into one location.

Thanks again.
Interesting. I always could see Vol Walker from my office window in the library!
Dustin or William, do either of you know if there are plans to document the new building’s construction in a similar way? This is a great video!
I can say that some time soon there will be webcams availalbe for viewing the project’s progress. They’ll include a timelapse option.
