Fayetteville residents looking to get rid of live Christmas trees may place them at the curb on their regular trash pickup day or take them to the city’s compost site.

A crew with the city of Fayetteville’s Parks and Recreation Division began replacing dead and damaged trees along College Avenue between Dickson and Maple streets Wednesday morning.

There are still a few gaps to fill in, but a majority of the 2012 Arkansas football schedule became official yesterday when the SEC released the conference portion of the season.

Speaking of Hogs, the Arkansas men’s basketball team improved to 9-3 on the season after a 80-67 win over Charlotte Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

Thirteen talented ladies have come together to create an all-female Fayetteville art show entitled, “Do You Want to Go to the Bathroom With Me?” The show is set for 6 p.m. tonight at The Lightbulb Club.
