Partial Wakarusa 2012 lineup

Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder announced the arrest of Paul Lewis Bradley, 60, in connection with a Monday morning extortion attempt and fake bomb incident at a Fayetteville bank.

Wakarusa officials yesterday released the second of three scheduled lineup announcements for the 2012 music and camping festival on Mulberry Mountain.

Fayetteville filmmaker Matthew Wolfe is working on a documentary film about former Razorback Mitch Mustain, and the first footage from the film surfaced this week.

Razorback quarterback Tyler Wilson today announced his return to Arkansas for another year. “I have decided to stay at Arkansas for the 2012 season because I am extremely excited for what this team has the opportunity to accomplish and to finish earning my degree,” he said. Woo Pig Sooie.

Wolf-E-Wolf

There’s a blues happy hour at George’s beginning with harmonica-hero R.J. Mischo, and 16 year old guitar slinger, Nathan A. Later on, The 1 oz. Jig, Groovement, and Totojojo will be getting funky all over the place.

Three blue weirdos will be beating on various things, gesturing to the crowd, and dancing around on the stage at Walton Arts Center for most of the weekend. They’re called Blue Man Group, and they’re actually pretty incredible.

There’s a rock show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern, with a really good band from Denton, TX, Final Club, along with awesome locals, Potions and Thunderlizards.

Little Rock dance party Cool Shoes will make its Fayetteville debut at Rogue Friday night, with Central Arkansas residents Wolf-E-Wolf and Cam Holifield, along with locals DJs Beat Bachs and Baby Armie. Here’ some more info on that.

If you like jokes, you might be interested in a standup comedy show at UARK Bowl this weekend, featuring local amateur troupe, Comedians of NWA.

Turnpike Troubadours

Oklahoma Red Dirt band, Turnpike Troubadours are headlining at George’s Saturday night, along with Austin, TX band The Dirty River Boys, and Springfield, MO country-outfit The Cole Porter Band.

Sound Warehouse has an in-store performance by local band Meatsweat, who will have advance copies of their new album for sale. The shows starts at around 7 p.m.

Tyrannosaurus Chicken is at Smoke & Barrel, and local comedy improv group, Phunbags are at UARK Bowl.
