This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to the winners, eLwood and Linda Ralston.
If you like singing, dancing, musicals, cheerleading, or any combination of these items, you’ll probably do a toe-touch with the news that Bring It On: The Musical is coming to town for a string of shows at Walton Arts Center Feb. 7-12.
The show has received rave reviews while touring the country, and has drawn praise for its story, sound, and gravity-defying choreography.
It’s based loosely on the 2000 movie of the same name starring Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku, and was created by Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights), Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) and lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity).
You’ll probably do a roundoff back handspring when you find out we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to the opening night performance of the show.
If you’re one of the lucky winners, we don’t even know what you’ll do. A herkie?
How to enter
The chants and cheers are cool, and dancing certainly takes talent, but without question, the best things about cheerleading are the stunts.
Leave a comment telling us what stunts you can do, and you’re entered. Can you do a cartwheel? Pop a wheelie on your bike? If you can’t think of anything, just say “a 360,” and you’re entered.”
What you’ll win
Two lucky winners will win two (2) tickets to the Tuesday, Feb. 7 performance of Bring it On: The Musical, set for 7 p.m. at the Walton Arts Center.
A few rules (read ‘em carefully):

A backhand spring
handstand
Well, you see, I actually was the only person to try out for jr. high cheerleader my 6th grade year that didn’t make it. (lots of tears that evening!) So, based on that, I have to say that my cheer leading ‘tricks’ weren’t really that great! Despite this, I’d love to go watch the musical and pretend that I can jump higher than 2 inches off the ground attempting to do a toe touch!
I know this is a little ridiculous, but I can’t actually do the Pamchenko from that movie The Cutting Edge. It has nothing to do with Cheerleading, but it would bring home the gold everytime!
360!!
a 360
…yes i googled “Pamchenko”.
I figured as much. You certainly couldn’t have Wikipedia’d it today.
I can do a 360…
360!
I can’t do any of them, but I go watch my boyfriend’s daughter who can do all of the stunts at only 9 yrs. old. Her team won first this last weekend in Tulsa. I’d love to take her to see it!
When there is no snow I slide down the stairs on my super fast plastic sled (helmet required)!
Lol! Yes, I am 18 or older! :-)
I don’t really want the tickets, but I can turtle spin… sorta.
a cartwheel
A 360!!
Is hoola-hoop a stunt? I’m a champ at that!
Sure. That counts.
I’ve been teaching my two and three year olds to do somersaults and handstands. Do those count?
Nope. Sorry, Summer. (Just kidding. Of course, it counts.)
A 360 365 24-7 Yo!
I spend most of my weekends practicing my herkey form
A thousands hops on a pogo stick!
(or at least I could as a teenager!)
Hula hoop while drinking wine…..multi talented!
I can do a 360, while hoola-hooping. ;-)
Give me a week and I could probably do a pretty decent cartwheel. I used to be able to hit a golf ball like Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore but I’m not sure that really counts as a stunt.
I can do a round-off backhandspring backtuck.
Showoff. :-P
I can do the splits! Not sure if that counts as a stunt, but at 25, I think it’s gotta count for something!!
Cartwheels are cool!
I can do a lop-sided somersault. Too old for anything else!
headspin
Sannee, I believe I need to see you do that sometime.
toe touch.
A really sweet forward flip
I can do 40 pushups.
I want to win this and give it to my parents. For some unexplainable reason, they both loved that movie and went to it a dozen times. Weird….
Behind the back, 480, elbow lick!
I can *kind of* do a cartwheel.
I must see this!!!!!
I can do a almost cartwheel with Passion and conviction!!!!
Toss to hands!
I can touch my toes. :)
Toe touches extreme…
I can do a fabulous toe touch. Want to see it? Pick me to win the tickets! Thanks!
I can do 6 cartwheels in a row!
(I know this because, upon reading about the contest, I thought to myself, “I know I can do a cartwheel, but I wonder how many I can do.”)
Mostly just 360′s with an occasional 720 when my hip is feeling o.k.
Well, currently, I can do a one armed cartwheel and the splits, but since I’ll be having shoulder surgery next month, I’ll get to working on that aerial between now and then!
This is a great contest but I am not posting to enter. I just wanted to make sure you knew that Bentonville native Sheldon Tucker is on the cast of Bring It On The Musical. He graduated Bentonville HS and went to college at Hawaii Pacific as an elite tumbler on the HPU cheer squad.which led to him being asked to auditon for the show. He has been with the show since it’s premier in Atlanta. That is him flying through the air on the pic with this article. Just an interesting fact. By the way, the show is amazing, saw it in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Thanks!
A 360
i ‘ve licked all the way to the center of a tootsie pop. I’m not giving away the answer, but it is revealed in last 10 minutes of Prometheus.

i can do a cartwheel followed by a chiropractor visit.

I can do a dope pin-drop

can do a back handspring and a razorback!!
I guess a 360 since the only cheering stunts I can do are promoting the heck out of someone via social media. ;-)
I can do a pretty mean cartwheel for a 330lb Dude!
I can do a 360!
I can levitate. Please pick me!
Standing two back hand springs into a tuck! I love cheerleading!!!
a super cool sideways twisting jetslide!
I can do a back flip off of the diving board at the Wilson Park pool. Seriously. I know there are some people who have seen it and immediately started making phone calls of the ‘y’all-ain’t-gonna-believe-what-I-just-saw” variety.
