Beginning beekeeping classes offered in Fayetteville

Anyone interested in learning about beekeeping is encouraged to attend a series of beginner classes hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Beekeepers Association.

The classes are set for Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and Feb. 13 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pauline Whitaker Equine Center across from Agri Park in Fayetteville.

Speakers will include Jon Zawislak of the UA Cooperative Extension Service and Ed Levi, former state bee inspector and current queen breeder.

Cost to attend is $5 per person or $10 per family for all three nights (pay at the door). For more information, call 479-409-0228.
