The second band of the Arkansas Music Pavilion 2012 season was released on Monday, and it looks like the fairgrounds will be getting a dose of double-bass drum this spring.

Venue officials announced that Los Angeles-based metal band Five Finger Death Punch will perform at the AMP on Tuesday, May 8.

The band is made up of former U.P.O. guitarist Zolthan Bathory, along with former W.A.S.P. guitarist Darrell Roberts Jason Hook, vocalist Ivan Moody (Motograter/Ghost Machine), bass player Chris Kael, and former W.A.S.P. drummer Jeremy Spencer.

Their first two albums (2007’s Way of the Fist and the 2009 release War is the Answer) were certified gold by the RIAA, selling over 500,000 copies each. The band is currently touring in support of their third album, American Capitalist.

Tickets are $31.50 in advance, $34.50 the day of the show, and go on sale Feb. 17 at 9 a.m. at waltonartscenter.org.
