A group called “Keep Dollars in Benton County” is out to get the 40,000 signatures needed to let voters decide in November if the county should become “wet.”

As part of the Polk Stanley Wilcox Sustainability Lecture in the 2011-12 Fay Jones School of Architecture lecture series, Lance Hosey will present “How Beauty Could Save the Planet” at 5:30 p.m. today in Hembree Auditorium, in the Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences Building (Room 107E), on the UA campus.

After nearly 25 years Tucson rock troupe Supersuckers are still at it and tonight, Eddie Spaghetti and crew will play Rogue with Motortrain and locals Well Well Well. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door.

Also tonight, Houston-based psychedelic-drone-rockers Indian Jewelry are at The Lightbulb Club with OKC one-man-band El Paso Hot Button and locals Voyageurs.
