Some folks have a routine. I once toured with a band and the opening guy did the oops-I-dropped-my-pick-into-the-hole-of-my-acoustic-guitar-does-anyone-have-an-extra-pick bit every night for a week. Could’ve been consecutive accidents. Doubt it.

I also recall hearing from someone who was there that he dissed Arkansas again the next night in St. Louis, after doing the “poor bastards in St. Louis” routine in Fayetteville. That rascal!

As I recall, he talked nice of Fayetteville, especially the Dickson Street Book Shop, while on stage at the WAC. Also, they ruled.
