New Flyer Sponsor: Metropolis Salon

  • by Dustin Bartholomew, Flyer Staff
    on April 2, 2012 at 5:13 pm

If businesses had shoulders, you’d better believe we’d be wrapping our arms around the ones belonging to the fine local places that choose to become Fayetteville Flyer sponsors, and hugging their little necks.

There are obvious reasons for this. For one, these places are generally awesome, run by generally incredible local people who do amazing things for the community in any number of ways.

Bumble and Bumble products.

95 S. Church Ave.

Julie in action.

They sponsor the cool events. They’re at the Farmers’ Market, hanging out with the rest of us. They live on your street, in that house on the corner with the red door.

They are also the local places who have decided to stand up and support what we’re doing here at the Flyer. They have decided that you, Flyer readers, are exactly the type of people they want to do business with. Also, they are generally the most interesting, unique, local, progressive, and innovative businesses in town.

They’re the best, and we can’t say that enough.

Case-in-point; our newest sponsor, Metropolis Salon.

The store is locally owned by Julie Keeran, who is not only an awesome hairdresser, but also has a preternatural insight and knowledge of sports that would put most people to shame. She is also a stylist who truly ‘gets it’, which means she’ll listen to what you want, offer advice, and then make you look fantastic. Also, you’d better not dis’ the Kansas City Chiefs within ear shot of Julie. Trust us.

She has also surrounded herself with some of the best hairdressing talent in the entire state, making up kind of an all-star team of hair expert mammer-jammers.

Metropolis takes appointments straight from their Website or Facebook page (in fact, they’re running a 10% off special if you book online), they’re specially trained to do men’s haircuts, and they’re constantly winning awards locally for best salon (Elle Magazine’s top 100 salon’s 3 years running, Celebrate Magazine’s A-List Salon winner, and Citscapes Magazine Best Salon winner, etc).

They’re also a Bumble and Bumble exclusive salon, meaning they have their complete range of products, and are able to design custom product packages for each client.

In short, they rule, and we’re so happy to have them as a part of the Flyer Family.

Please help us welcome them, won’t you?
