Hehehe.
Listen, embarrassing, unfortunate and stupid, and as someone who thinks this guy is our best football coach, hate it. But someone who calls looking into this as something done by “haters” is just a blind homer. I don’t hate, I look for truth and integrity. This girl’s career here is over. Petrino’s going to get off (no pun intended) with a wrist slap, maybe suspended a game (Hoot got away with worse over that certain TV lady).

Hope BMFP has a comfortable couch.

Agreed. His “this one’s going to be hot and this one makes me look like a conehead” definitely indicates a inexperienced rider falling into the “biker” cliche. I would think as head coach, he could likely get someone to trick him out a pretty sweet razorback themed mc helmet. Live and learn.

I wish he would require all scholarship players to wear a helmet as well!
Scooters, bike, skateboard, ski = helmet! You don’t like it, you don’t have to accept the scholarship.

I can only imagine what happens to 60% of the team on scooters!

I’m glad he’s all together. All motorcyclists/scooter riders should wear a helmet. If you ride motorbikes/scooters, you will crash out. It’s just part of it. Save your brain!

Love the guy. Best head football coach Arkansas has ever had. But not wearing a helmet was a poor decision and I hope he thinks not a bit about our fans and every bit about his family the next time he rides.

I lost a friend when I was a kid to a motorcycle accident. I still remember the devastation we all felt. A dead badass is just stupid and not admirable. Smarten up, coach.

Fair enough. As you can tell, I’m a bit excitable with the helmet issue, because I do think it’s important and I don’t want to see anyone die while enjoying the undeniable awesomeness of motorcycle riding. For me, putting on my helmet is as second-nature as putting on my seatbelt.
GF, I have to agree with your point… Giving a press conference and being back on the job 36 hours after a near-death experience, all busted up…that’s pretty damn tough.

Was it dumb? Yeah. But at the end of the interview, he says he will wear a helmet from now on. Lesson learned. Everyone makes mistakes.
