Demolition at the site of the upcoming 555 Maple complex will once again require closure of Frisco Trail between Maple and Lafayette streets from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 9.

Just like on April 2, trail users should use Gregg Avenue as a detour.

The closures are necessary to allow for the removal of two Maple Street Apartments buildings immediately adjacent to the trail.

The building is the second of two trailside buildings being removed to make way for a 183-unit student housing project set to take up the entire block. One last apartment building will still need to be demolished.

City officials said redevelopment of the property will ultimately result widening of the trail and installation of trail lights in that area.
