The company behind a nationally-distrubited product will soon open a sales office on Dickson Street in Fayetteville.

Clif Bar & Company PR director Sue Hern confirmed company plans to lease space inside The Dickson for a regional sales team.

The office will house up to 10 employees in a 2,900-square-foot space on the second floor of the building. The space includes a balcony overlooking the courtyard area on the east side of The Dickson.

Sheree Alt, agent for Downtown Properties Real Estate Group which handles leasing for The Dickson, said Clif Bar signed a five-year lease set to begin in September.

Clif Bar & Company is a 20-year-old manufacturer of energy bars headquartered in Emery, Calif. The product is sold by retailers all over the country, including Bentonville-based Walmart and Sam’s Club.

Thanks for the plug! I didn’t know you worked our company into articles for free!

Pretty silly comment. Almost all companies who do business with Wal-mart/Sam’s Club have a presence in Northwest Arkansas. Strategically, this makes sense for the company if Wally is their biggest client. Duh. No reason to derail the commenting into an anti/pro Wally whinefest.

i would be more than willing to be a product sampler for the new office.

Good news- more space occupied in that building, more lunch customers for Dickson Street businesses and another vendor locating in Fayetteville instead of Benton County.

Fayetteville seems a better fit for this company. Glad to have them here.

Great job Sheree Alt for landing this tenant! My folks love Clif Bars, (I’m more into Snickers). It’s great to see The Dickson filling up! Yea Fayetteville!

Does anyone know if the ten employees will be current employees or if some will be new hires?
