The inaugural Block Street Block Party took place on May 22, 2011.

The 2012 Block Street Block Party is set for Sunday, May 20, and organizers are looking for a little help to make the party happen.

Hannah Withers, who helped spearhead the event, said that about 100 volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks to help make the one-day festival a success.

We need mobile merchandise gals, water station volunteers, beer garden helpers, artists to help with sidewalk chalk signage, folks to help facilitate events like the adult tricycle race. Pretty much you name it. So come on and join the crazy!
