Artosphere kicks off with ‘Structuring Nature’ exhibit opening May 3

A new art exhibit entitled “Structuring Nature” is set to open on Thursday, May 3 at Joy Pratt Markham Gallery inside the Walton Arts Center.

Contemporary artists Orit Hofshi, Andrew Moore, Serena Perrone, Ben Peterson, and Randall Exon will display prints, photography, drawings, woodcuts, and mixed-media works inspired by naturew, set to be unveiled at the opening reception beginning at 5 p.m.

Guest curator Andrea Packard will give remarks on the artwork as well as gallery tours to guests.

The exhibition will kick off the 2012 Artosphere festival, a two-month long series of art events with a nature and sustainability theme.

The “Structuring Nature” opening is free and open to the public, and the artwork will remain on display in the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery through June 23.
