Police sit atop the Garland Center parking deck on the University of Arkansas campus Wednesday evening while attempting negotiations with an apparently suicidal man.

An apparently suicidal man who sat on the fourth-level ledge of a campus parking deck last night was finally convinced to climb down after over seven hours of attempted negotiations.

Walkers, joggers and bicyclists on Scull Creek Trail will soon be required to stop and activate a traffic signal button before crossing North Street.
