New Flyer Sponsor: The Whole Pet

If there’s one thing we love here at the Flyer, it’s Fayetteville (this place is awesome). If there are two things we love, the second thing would be our sponsors. We also love our families and friends. And our dogs.

Fresh pet food

Grooming area

Accessories and more

Our sponsors, however, allow us to continue operating each day, and for that we are eternally grateful.

They are the business owners who have decided to support free, online local news and information. They’ve also decided that you, dear readers, are exactly the type of people they want to do business with. They are generally the most interesting, unique, local, progressive, and innovative businesses in town.

We love them more than dogs love peanut butter, which, as anyone who’s ever given peanut butter to a dog knows, is a lot. A whole lot.

Speaking of dogs, our latest sponsor is none other than the brand new healthy pet food store, The Whole Pet.

The store is owned by husband-and-wife duo, Bill and Jan McQuade, who have over 39 years of experience in the pet business. The pair own two other stores in the region – Happy Tails with locations in Fort Smith and Van Buren.

Bill is a former professional dog show handler who knows more about pet health and pet nutrition than anyone you’ve ever met, and his mission is to make sure that no dog (or cat) is subject to low-quality, low-nutrition pet food full of fillers and lacking in protein and nutrients. Five minutes with him, and you’ll think twice about feeding your pet some of the big brands that pass for food at grocery stores.

The Whole Pet carries only brands that McQuade has vetted for their high nutritional values, including Primal Raw Diets, Canidae, Nature’s Logic, Planet Organics and more.

Bill has also offered to share with the Flyer community a column on pet health, behavior, and other issues. We’re excited to see what we learn from his experience.

Jan is a Certified Master Groomer with experience in just about every cut on nearly every breed of dog. She also has extensive knowledge of the healthy pet foods the stores carries, and is happy to help you find the perfect food for your dog or cat to fit any budget.

Not only is the store full of healthy food options, but there are also plenty of other dog and cat supplies like leashes, crates, beds, food bowls, pet clothing, toys, and just about everything your furry friend might need.

They rule the school, and we couldn’t be happier to be working with them. Please stop by the store at 2423 N. College Ave. and welcome them to the Flyer family.
