Four-day and two-day passes for the third annual Fayetteville Roots Festival have been on sale for nearly two weeks, and as of yesterday, you can grab yourself a single-day pass if you want.

Single day tickets went on sale Tuesday, and are $69 for either the Friday night show at Walton Arts Center with David Grisman (and others) or the Saturday night show at the WAC with John Prine (and others.)

Single-day tickets also went on sale for the late-night shows at George’s Majestic Lounge for $25 each. Weekend passes at George’s (initially priced at $49) are also now on sale for $39.

A limited number of four-day and two-day packages are still available. “Friends of the Festival” four-day passes are $249, and include access to all four days of events. The all-inclusive package also features a catered meal, a Thursday night concert at the Garner Farm, plus meals and premium seats at the Walton Arts Center. Four-day pass holders will also receive access to late-night shows at George’s and a Sunday night finale party.

Other options include a two-day pass for $189, or a Walton Arts Center-only pass for $149.

Does anybody know if Hayes Carll has been dropped from the Roots Fest lineup?

Yes. Carll cancelled to play some shows overseas.

John Prine, David Grisman, many more touring artists and a host of local and regional acts, makes this an excellent line-up for Fayetteville Roots Festival, emerging as a leading festival in our city & in the broader Americana field.

I saw The David Mayfield Parade open for The Avett Brothers in Dallas last year, I can easily say that they put on one of the most entertaining concerts I have ever seen and I am excited to see them again.
