News Briefs

A crew with Environmental Design works to transplant a River Birch tree at the site of the upcoming 555 Maple complex on Wednesday. The tree moving company was contracted by Fayetteville’s McClelland Consulting Engineers Inc. to permanently relocate three trees to the north end of the construction site near Maple Street.

Now that city officials have narrowed their preferred locations for a planned downtown parking deck, it’s time for Walton Arts Center officials to weigh in.

Officials are planning a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the city’s first modern roundabout, a long-planned project set to be constructed near Washington Regional Medical center in north Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police announced another series of directed traffic enforcements at select intersections around town. The first round begins today.

Need a new motorcycle? Former Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino’s wrecked Harley Davidson was recently listed in an online auction.
