Get out your camping gear, and put on some sunglasses and some sandals or something. Summer music festival season is here.

Wakarusa is just a few weeks away, but there’s also a new music and camping festival coming up this weekend, May 11-12, called MusicFest: Spring on the Mountain.

The festival will feature 11 local bands, and is set take place at Hazel Valley Ranch, located just south of Fayetteville at 16330 Olive Road.

Cletus Got Shot, Charliehorse, Speakeasy, Tyrannosaurus Chicken, and Chooch and the Sidehill Gougers are a few of the headliners for the second-year festival, which began last year as a one-day benefit at George’s in response to the devastating tornado that touched down in nearby Denning Arkansas.

Proceeds raised at this year’s event will benefit local disaster relief charity The Northwest Arkansas Sunshine Foundation, and the Veronica Post Firefighter / EMT / First Response Scholarship Fund, set up to provide financial assistance to folks seeking help in an EMS or firefighting profession.

Tickets are $25, camping is $10, and you can buy them at nwamusicfest.com
