I just looked up the ticket prices for this Wilco tour. $44 is the cheapest ticket for the tour. That number is normally set by the band/booking agent.

Sorry I’m now just getting to respond to your comments Todd.

I have only been taking show photos for a year and I’m still not 100% convinced I know what I’m doing.

I would agree with you on the lighting on the stage has a huge effect. I myself need to pull the trigger on getting a wide angle lens since I primarily just shoot shows. I too hoped to shoot video with my camera and have done it maybe 3 times. Maybe.

I think you have got some good work on here.

You do realize they played Cain’s Ballroom for 20 bucks just last year right?

$44 is extremely overpriced for Wilco Tickets.

Arcade Fire tickets aren’t even that much.

They’re Wilco, not Roger Waters presents: The Wall.

Hey, Jerry. I'm a complete novice, so I really appreciate the kind words. I use a Canon 7D which is way more camera than I can handle, but I bought it because I thought I'd be doing a lot of HD video. I've had the camera for over a year and can count the times I've recorded video on one hand. Oh well, Boy Scout motto: Be prepared. The only lens I've bought is a Tokina wide angle which I chose because it was much cheaper than a Canon. I (over)use it all the time around town for Flyer work. The rest of the time I shoot with either the semi-mediocre lens that came with the 7D or this janky old 75-300mm that came free with my first camera, a Canon Rebel. With not much going for me in terms of experience or lenses, I rely on Photoshop to sweeten things up. I'm not nearly as pleased with these photos as I was with the My Morning Jacket set I brought home from Wakarusa last year. As a newbie, I can only speculate that the difference in lighting was a major contributing factor. Or maybe I just got lucky.
