Traffic will continue to be restricted to one lane on sections of Crossover Road for the next eight weeks.

Flagmen will direct drivers through the work zone between Highway 45 and Joyce Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. During those hours, both northbound and southbound traffic will alternate using one travel lane.

The closures will allow for installation of new drainage striations along the roadway, as work continues on an ongoing 2.2-mile road widening project on Crossover Road (Arkansas 265) by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.

Once the full project is complete in early 2014, the three-lane section of road from Mission Boulevard to Township Street will become a four-lane road with a center turning lane. The stretch from Township Street to Joyce Boulevard will include four lanes with a raised center median.

Motorists are urged to use care and think ahead when traveling through the work zone and obey the posted speed limits and other regulatory signs.
