Ever wonder what it would sound like if the Flaming Lips grew up and had a nephew, that nephew joined their road crew, met some other musicians, and started a band of his own?

It would probably sound something like Oklahoma City band Stardeath and White Dwarfs. As it turns out, it sounds pretty rad.

The band is fronted by Dennis Coyne, nephew of Flaming Lips lead singer Wayne Coyne, and they’re coming to town for a show at The Lightbulb Club Thursday, May 17.

The show is another by local booking badbutt, Chris “Clunk” Selby, who’s been responsible for a ton of good shows in Fayetteville over the years.

Admission is $5 (“American,” said Clunk. “No Euros.”) at the door. Local band Swimming will open the show.
