A section of Prospect Street will be closed through the end of May to allow for a sidewalk and curb construction project near Wilson Park in Fayetteville.
Crews are building a new sidewalk on the south side of the street between Gregg and Frisco avenues to help connect the park with Scull Creek Trail.
Expect weekday closures from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. According to a city news release, the street will open back up to regular traffic at night and on weekends.

Glad this is happening but that sidewalk should’ve been put in right when the trail was opened.
Agree. It’s been a dangerous block to walk with people zooming up from the one-lane bridge and nowhere to walk but the street. Glad to see it finally happening.
