If you’ve been considering adopting a cat lately, there’s a good opportunity to save some cash this Memorial Day weekend.

Fayetteville Animal Shelter officials today announced they will offer all cats and kittens for just $10 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 25 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 26.

“We are just overwhelmed with cats of all ages right now,” said Joni Mosher, the shelter’s programs administrator. “We currently have over 60 available cats and kittens and we seem to be getting more in every day.”

The $10 fee includes spaying/neutering as well as micro-chipping and vaccinations.

“You won’t find a better deal and you’ll be saving life, which is so rewarding,” said Mosher.

The shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave. in Fayetteville. All cats and kittens will be adopted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Buddy looks like he is an awesome cat. I know he will go to a good home.
