Karcher, a global cleaning supplies company, last week announced plans to move three of its North American locations into a warehouse facility in Fayetteville.

The company, which has seven locations in North America, recently purchased a 660,000-square-foot building formerly owned by Hanna’s Candle Company which it plans to consolidate its Springdale, Ark., Englewood, Colo., and Bowling Brook, Ill. facilities into.

The news came in a statement issued by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce.

“From a logistics standpoint, Fayetteville, Arkansas is the best possible location,” said Elliot Younessian, CEO of Karcher North America. “Due to its central location we are able to supply our customers and trading partners all over the United States within a short period of time.”

The Springdale move, which includes bringing at least 58 jobs to Fayetteville, will come first and should be complete in about a year.

At least half of the newly purchase building, located at 2700 S. Armstrong Ave., is still in use by Hanna’s Candles which reportedly has a longterm lease with the new owners.
