Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder announced this week that the countywide Red Flag Fire Warning in effect since May 23 has been officially lifted.

Extremely dry weather conditions prompted the sheriff’s office to discouraging any outside burning late last month, but with recent rains in the area, the conditions have improved.
