Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the 2006 murder of Nina Ingram.

Ingram was found strangled in her home at the Law Quad Apartments, located at 701 W. Sycamore St on April 22, 2006.

After a six-year investigation, police arrested Rico Tavarous Cohn, age 26 of Springdale, on capital murder charges Tuesday.

The case had been open, with several Fayetteville detectives working to identify a suspect for years to no avail. In April of this year, the case was assigned to a new detective, and weeks later, media coverage intended to shed light on the investigation led to a tip that provided the break that resulted in Cohn’s arrest.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, and police are asking individuals with any information to contact them at 479-587-3555.
