Police chief Greg Tabor yesterday announced the launch of a new feature that will allow tickets and fines from the Fayetteville Police Department to be paid online or over the phone.
According to a news release, the department has partnered with Court Solutions to accept payments using a credit or debit card at myfinepayment.com or toll-free at 877-591-8768. Once processed, the payments will be forwarded to the police department.
Citizens may still pay in person or by mail at the Fayetteville Police Department, located at 100 W. Rock St., Fayetteville, AR 72701.

What is myfinepayment.com’s commission? Also, does this come out of the cost of the infringement, or will there be a service charge tacked on top?
According to the Court Solutions web site, “The cost of this system is completely paid for by the violator as a user fee. There are no up-front costs, no set up fee, no transaction fees and no contracts. Just a common sense solution with no cost to the agency and no risk.”
So I’m assuming that means if you use the system, then the violator pays a user fee in addition to the fine? Is this a flat user fee, or is it based on the cost of the violation?
RE “So I’m assuming that means if you use the system, then the violator pays a user fee in addition to the fine?”
Yes, though they call it a “nominal ‘user fee’”: “All costs for development, hosting, application, processing, customer service and merchant fees are underwritten by a nominal ‘user fee’ included in the payment transaction.”
RE “Is this a flat user fee, or is it based on the cost of the violation?”
That is a detail not offered on the site. You’ll probably have to get at least one ticket and use the system in order to find out. You might find out by emailing support@myfinepayment.com.
They also have a bail-payment service. That could decimate the South School Avenue bail-bond district.
lol on bail bond.
