News Briefs

Library patrons got an early peek at the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission Mobile Aquarium yesterday.

The Fayetteville Public Library will host the Animal Extravaganza today at 2 p.m. at the Rock Street entrance. Expect to see a mobile aquarium, a petting zoo and more.

A 1950s era College Avenue motel could soon be converted into a nine-unit studio apartment complex marketed toward graduate students and young business professionals.

Fayetteville’s Mary Ann Gunn, the former drug court judge who left office last year to work on her new TV show “Last Shot with Judge Gunn,” took home an Emmy award after only one season on air.

There may be a handful of shows added over the course of the year, but it appears as though the majority of the Walton Arts Center’s 2012-13 season is booked.

Someone stole a ton of equipment belonging to members of the NWA All Stars roller derby squad, and the team needs some help from the community to try and replace it.
