The Fayetteville City Council approved a resolution Tuesday night allowing for the use of fireworks on Labor Day (Sept. 3) in light of the current citywide burn ban.

Commercial and residential trash, recycling and yard waste collection will not be affected by the holiday and will run their normal schedules before, during and after Independence Day.
