News Briefs

An employee with Ken’s Signs of Springdale works last week to install a new sign at Dickson Street Liquor in Fayetteville. The store is undergoing a 2,600-square-foot, two-story expansion project adjacent to its original building at 241 W. Dickson Street.

American Air Filter announced last week it will expand its manufacturing plant in Fayetteville. The company plans to invest $516,000 into the facility and add 58 jobs to its current roster of 112 employees here in town.

A group of Fayetteville businesses will come together to raise funds and supplies for the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of the Ozarks on Saturday, July 21.

Please help us welcome Bordinos to the list of local businesses that support the Flyer. The restaurant is pretty much a Fayetteville institution these days, with awesome food, a crazy-extensive wine list, and a great atmosphere.

A reader submitted a photo of a black dog that was found in the Sunbridge area of town recently. Do you know who this pup’s owner is?

Check your birthdays again. I believe Stewart Copeland, the drummer for the Police, is significantly older than just 6 years old ;-)

    Staff note: Truth. He’s 60.
