A building once occupied by Best Motor Co. next to USA Drug on MLK could soon be home to the newest Starbucks location in Fayetteville.

It appears as though the largest coffeehouse company in the world will soon open another location in Fayetteville.
According to an online job posting forwarded to us by a Flyer reader, Starbucks is currently seeking baristas and shift supervisors for a store located at 2117 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The vacant building at that location was most recently home to Best Motor Co., and is currently undergoing a major renovation project.
We’ve submitted a request for further information with the coffee chain’s corporate office in Seattle, and we’ll update this post as soon as we receive a response.
Starbucks currently operates locations in Fayetteville near the intersection of College and Joyce at 3901 N. Shiloh Dr., inside Barnes & Noble at 4144 N. College Ave., and on the University of Arkansas campus at 111 Ozark Avenue.

Awesome!!!!
As a self confessed coffee snob it saddens me to see the used car lot turned into a Starbucks.
What Fayetteville really needs is more Peet’s locations.
I would disagree highly with this statement. lol
The Silverjoe’s location a few blocks up the street is thrilled, I’m sure.
Arsaga’s, the various people using Kennedy roasters (BHK, Silverjoe’s, etc..) , Mama Carmen’s, and, my personal favorite, Baba Boudan’s all blow Starbucks out of the water.
It’s better than an empty building, I just hope its opening doesn’t result in that Silverjoe’s closing.
Way to keep Fayetteville funky. Pffft. Friendly reminder…Baba Boudain’s and Silverjoe’s have drive-thrus too.
The only reason I see for that location is 540 traffic; the transient stopping for a bite, gas and a quick meal. This just adds to the vehicular congestion.
I am most definitely a coffee snob.I worked at Kennedy Coffee Roasting Company for 5 years and a hand full of other local coffee shops, all who have amazing coffee, coffee education and bean sources. But, contrary to popular belief, Starbucks has an amazing company and creates superb coffee and has the best education sources for the coffee they serve. I used to be anti St@rb***s, but I did some Starbucks research, read “onward”, by Howard Schultz and went through some training material they give their employees. Through all of that, I became a believer and a supporter of nearly everything Starbucks does as a company. I encourage everyone to give them a chance :-)
Never have I had anything approaching a mediocre cup of coffee at any Starbucks location whether in NWA, Vegas or San Fransisco much less one I’d call superb.
Happy biking west on MLK. It’s not exactly Twee City. I wonder about choice of location. Starbucks must know more than the residents do about plans (?) for gentrifying environs. For now, from outdoor tables people can watch the trucks stuffed with semi-live chickens.
